October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and during this unprecedented time, those affected by breast cancer need your help more than ever before.
The goal of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to not only bring awareness, but provide support and further research pertaining to this devastating disease, as we collectively work together to find a cure.
12 Sparks Media client, after BREAST CANCER, is a cross-Canada charity dedicated to supporting and celebrating those affected by breast cancer. The charity’s mission is to make sure that women have access to basic necessities after surviving breast cancer, helping each breast cancer graduate thrive one person at a time.
COVID-19 has impacted our healthcare system immensely; our frontline workers work tirelessly, but during these unusual circumstances there are inevitable backlogs in many areas. Breast cancer patients have been impacted by these backlogs – missing appointments and treatments as they need to isolate at home to remain as safe as possible. The global pandemic has been hard on everyone; especially so for breast cancer patients and their loved ones.
after BREAST CANCER is introducing a social media movement to help shine a light on breast cancer. The Shine A Light On Breast Cancer campaign will take place on October 15th, 2020, and you can participate on your social media platforms in the following ways:
- Posting/sharing posts relating to breast cancer awareness on your social media platforms
- Tagging friends, family, politicians and celebrities to help spread the word
- Use the hashtag #SHINEALIGHTONBREASTCANCER
